Ionia – 1st ROAD BLOG from Wintour 2013 with Saint Diablo

Ionia is currently on a headlining tour with Saint Diablo called the “Wintour 2013”. While they are out on this tour, they will be writing an exclusive Road Blog for us. You can read their first update after the break.

We are road warriors!  It’s not something I would wish on my worst enemy, but it is who we are. There is no fate, but what you make for yourselves and this is what we have made.  We will not look back or second guess what the future holds for us.  There are no back up plans for us, we will run straight towards our goals and live and learn from the regrets that come with that.  On the road things become simple, all the drama of life at home comes to a screeching halt. Your goals are minimal on a daily basis.  Wake up workout/stretch, brush teeth/floss, find edibles, get to show, loading/soundcheck. Wait, wait, wait.  Play show, meet people, sign things, load out, drive/sleep, repeat.  Your objective remains the same everyday.  This is comforting, the way things remain the same.  In a world where you just never know what the future holds its the one thing you can count on. This is where the creatures of habit perfect their craft.  This is the road and in a world where nothing is for sure, we will follow those white and yellow lines that dress an otherwise dreary grey asphalt to the ends of the earth and onward.  This is our place.. We are nomads..  We are brothers.. And this is what gives our lives  a pulse.  We are Ionia.
