Jacob and Fanny – CRAZY TOUR STORIES

In this Crazy Tour Stories segment, the pop duo, Jacob and Fanny, give the details of one of their crazy stories from touring. You can check out the story and stream their newest single, “Miss You”, after the break.

Fanny: There was one show that gave me like bathroom PTSD. It was in my hometown Montreal, the theater was packed and it was literally 5 minutes before we were supposed to be on stage. It seems to always happen to me that right before we have to go on I feel like I have to pee. I was all dressed and ready to perform and when I got to the stall I had this premonition of me pulling down my skirt and my wireless monitor pack falling into the toilet, so I decided to take my wireless pack off first and set it aside. So I have it in my hand and I swear to you it was like a fish! It slipped out of my hand, I fumbled it like three times in the air and it splashed right into the toilet. I died! Luckily it was BEFORE I did my business—I reached in and grabbed it. I tested it… nothing.

Jacob: Fanny runs into the green room on the verge of tears and tells everyone what happened. I send my sister who was backstage with us to find front of house and see if the sound guy had an extra wireless pack. I tell Fanny not to worry if he didn’t have one I’d cue her. Secretly I was freaking out though cause she wouldn’t be able to hear anything and it’d probably be a train wreck.

Fanny: We’re walking to the stage and Jacob’s sister runs up with a wireless pack. The day was saved and the show went amazing. But to this day it legit gives me anxiety to be anywhere near a toilet when I’m about to go on stage.
