Jacob Lee – PRESHOW RITUALS

I’m pretty chill when it comes to pre-show rituals, however, I’m as OCD as they come when it comes to a clean stage. Even though I rely on a pedal board live, I like to pretend leads & cables don’t exist. You’ll find me rolling leads, tucking them into any crevice I can find, tying them all together in one neat circle out of site. Even though this becomes a real mission when I need to rewire something, it’s the preferred alternative to falling over something on stage or kicking out the power to my board, which regretfully has happened before.

Over time I incorporated a wireless mic & wireless guitar jack into my set-up, leaving barely anything on stage apart from powering up, which always makes the sound guy’s assistant super stoked.

Apart from that, some water backstage, a decent soundcheck, a crowd to perform to & pleasant people surrounding me, I’m good to get it.
