Jenny – This is such a tough question but one that I think about all the time! Who would I want to share the stage with? So many names come to mind. If I could tour with anyone all time it would probably be Fleetwood Mac, Annie Lennox, or Phil Collins. Fleetwood Mac was one of my favourite bands growing up. I think their music is timeless and let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to hang out with Stevie Nicks outside of showtime? Annie Lennox and Phil Collins are both hugely influential when it comes to my sound so sharing the stage with them would feel both incredibly intimidating but really comfortable. As for current indie artists, there are so many I could choose from! A few bands that come to mind are The 1975, Japanese House, Phoebe Bridgers, Dizzy, MUNA, or Clairo. These are all artists that I admire sonically. I’ve only seen Phoebe Bridgers of the bunch but I’ve heard only incredible things about the other artists’ live shows. This makes me so antsy to get back out on tour and I can’t wait until the next one!!!
Jacob – Ok so choosing a single artist for a dream tour is pretty challenging, but I’m gonna go first with Justin Timberlake. Man, that guy can put on a show. The live arrangements his band pulls out are something else! I think I could actually watch his set for months on end and still pick out little musical details I hadn’t heard before. Also, his 20/20 experience album was the first album I remember listening to start to finish (and 1000x over since) so holds a very special place in my musical journey. And then to add one more act to the bill I’m calling up Prince. As a guitar player myself I’m always in awe of the way he translated his feelings to his fingers! I also feel like he’d probably quite like oat milk latte and I’d enjoy talking about his life and songwriting secrets in some hipster hotel café (ok and Justin too for that matter).
