King The Kid – 2nd ROAD BLOG from the “Freaks and Geeks Tour” with Hollywood Ending

The pop rock band, King The Kid, is currently supporting Hollywood Ending on the “Freaks and Geeks Tour.” While they are on this tour, they will be writing a blog for us about their adventures on the road. You can check out the second entry written by the band’s lead guitarist, Jose Mostajo, after the break.

Apparently we’re known for our car troubles while on tour and this one was no different. It was 1am on a drive from Houston to Phoenix, when one of the tires blew out in the RV. I was sleeping in the back room when the car started skipping forcefully and I knew that something was wrong. We had to wait about 3 hours for road assistance to come by since we were in the middle of nowhere. Come 5am we were driving again.

Fast forward 12 hours later, still driving, and we got a flat tire. A different one..we were able to get it to a tire shop and they were able to replace it along with a third tire that was apparently about to give out as well.

All in all an eventful week. Had some great shows in Texas, just wrapped up in Phoenix, and getting ready for a string of shows in California. The other guys are sick, so it’s been stressful on their voices, but we’re powering through these shows; we leave it all out on stage no matter what. This is what we love to do.
