My ideal tour lineup would be Bon Iver and A$AP Rocky. Both would be such different shows with different energies and lifestyles and I would love to pick their brains about music and art. I’m sure they tour extremely differently so it would be fun to observe how they live and travel between shows as well as how they prepare for shows. I would also love to sit in on a conversation between Justin Vernon and A$AP. It would be hilarious and undoubtedly profound to hear them talk and I’m sure there would be a surprising amount of crossover as well. I like how both of them treat their musicianship as fine art where the music is just one aspect of the greater idea. That tour would be insane. I’d bring a million cameras.

My dream/ideal tour lineup would be with James Vincent McMorrow, Frank Ocean, and Fleetwood Mac. These are three of my most favorite artists, whose influence on me and their respective musical genres is unparalleled. I saw James Vincent McMorrow perform last year, and it was one of the most creative and stunning performances I’d ever seen. I admire his ability to layer instrumentation and melodies and harmonies to create this force of a sound, and I’m so enamored with his writing style. In a similar vein, Frank Ocean is a musical virtuoso. His writing and music are so striking and vivid and his performances are just as captivating. I would love to sit with him and just hear about his life and creativity processing (the friend crush is strong here). And Fleetwood Mac is just the parent of all good sounds. I’ve been in love with them ever since I heard a Stevie Nicks song on School of Rock when I was a kid. Touring with them would be the dream of all dreams, they are exceptional performers and musicians and pioneers of their sound, and all of them seem incredibly kind and humble as well. I do believe all of these artists’ sounds crossover and influence each other, even thematically. This would be wild and I really wouldn’t know what to do with my hands.
