Life After Liftoff – TOUR TIPS

This Dayton, OH alternative rock band is no stranger to the road. They have done multiple regional and national runs and they go by the name, Life After Liftoff. The band recently wrote a set of 5 Tour Tips that they would recommend other bands to follow. You can check them out after the break.

1. Ryan’s tip:
Keep your friends close… and your gear closer! The road is full of people who are amazing and want to have a great time, there are also some people who don’t care and will take that opportunity to steal your favorite guitar or Macbook. Keep your stuff safe and keep the really valuable stuff in the trailer or van or behind the merch table with someone you trust.
2. Jason’s Tip
Always be the nicest and most respectful band you can possibly be. Whether it is with the venue staff, the other bands or fans.  You never know where another show, tour, offer or opportunity could come from. Plus, people will appreciate you because you are easy to work with and easy to get along with.  People always say two things, either that band was a bunch of jerks or that band was really friendly and I think everyone wants to be on the good side!
3. Dan’s Tip:
Enjoy the good times and learn from the bad times and always laugh in-appropriately.
4. Lee’s Tip:
When you need gas never stop at the first station off the highway. Go further in to town you will usually find lower prices.
5. Never ignore an opportunity to promote a tour, your show, or a band. Always have fun, talk to as many people as you can and regardless if it is 5 kids or 5,000 at the show play like it’s your last.
