So many stories come to mind when I think about this. We’ve had everything from a driver open a car door at 100km/h in Austria right through to passports being left on planes, being searched from head to toe when getting across the border from Poland to Belarus. Felt pretty James Bond esque. To being searched for explosives in airports because the pyrotechnics from the show had left a residue on the equipment.

One crazy one was in Albania where these kids in soundcheck were play fighting at the front of the stage and messing about, then one said something in Albanian and the other kids pulled a flick knife out on his friend. That was pretty scary!

I did a bike ride from Sophia, Bulgaria to London raising money and awareness for an anti-human trafficking organisation and at each city playing at an event. Whilst in Serbia we were riding across some tram tracks in a peliton, I jumped a hole and warned the riders behind me and then realised that my wheel had gotten caught in the tram tracks. Basically, I went up in the air, smashed my head on the central reservation barrier and hit the deck, cutting my right leg up and cracking my carbon fibre framed bike! Joy!!

We played a festival in Austria that was put on by some Monks for the local community. It was held in their brewery and straight after the show the monks came marching backstage and asked if we liked ‘monks beer’. They had 10 pints on a tray for us. The most bizarre after a show (come to LZ7 live show and see how much we sweat) so a beer was the last thing on my mind. But actually really nice!! Lol!!
