I’ll go with artists that inspire me!! – since we’re talking dead or alive – I’d have to say, Queen, purely because of how legendary Freddie Mercury was as a leader and a visionary. He had such an ability to transcend when he was doing a show, beyond just entertainment, there was the power to inspire and lead cultural change – it wasn’t simply just the genius music and epic voice. Queen was a perfect example of pushing boundaries with their writing and arranging, I learned a lot from listening to their hits – the way they added musical drama and theatrics into their music gives those songs that incredible energy that is timeless. Artists like that really inspire me.

I’d also have to choose either Sia or Florence + the machine! They both have this sonic freedom and wildness about them, but at the same time – capture universal, current, catchy pop melodies – they’ve got that balance down – which is what I aim for when I write. They’re both really cool singers/songwriters, so I reckon our similar vibes and sound would go super well together on tour. ;)

And… if none of them are available because they’re all busy doing various other gigs in dreamland – I’d beg Lady Gaga to tour with me because she is my idol & is just the most badass pop star ever – I’d kill to do a duet of Born This Way with her! Haha.
