In this First Concert Ever segment, the singer-songwriter, MARLOE., talks about the story of her first experience with live music. You can check out the story, after the break.
The first concert I ever went to was a Destiny’s Child concert. Needless to say, it started my music obsession with an absolute bang! I was about 10 years old, and I went with my mum and two older sisters to the concert.
I specifically remember being so excited when I got picked up from school that afternoon! I had my outfit all planned and ready to go. I wore a red skirt with a white one-shoulder top and boots.
We were sitting about 8 rows back from the stage, which was an amazing view. I can still remember how I felt the moment they came on stage, and how I was just mesmerized by their presence.
Being quite young, I quickly became very tired staying out past my bedtime. So, in true MARLOE. style, I took a nap on the seats during the middle concert! But, I will say, nap and all, it was one of the most memorable concerts I’ve been to. It definitely played a massive part in what kick-started my love of performing.
