Mason Musso of Metro Station – TOUR TIPS

This set of Tour Tips was written by Mason Musso of the the pop rock band, Metro Station, who is behind the multi-platinum selling single, “Shake It”! You can check out his tips for being on the road, after the break.

1. Pack Light – Some people try to bring their whole wardrobe on the road…definitely not my style. When you are traveling from city to city, airport to airport the less you have to carry around the better.

2. Lots of DVDs – On the road it was always important for me to have a lot of movies or TV shows to watch. It definitely makes the time go by faster on the long bus rides to the next show.

3. Walmart – I always liked to know where the local Walmart is on the road. This is a great one-stop shop for all your essentials. They have everything you need from snacks, toiletries to electronics. Quick and easy!

4. Vocal Warm-ups – Before each show it’s super important to do at least 30 mins of a vocal warm-up. There is nothing worse than your voice going out because you didn’t take that extra time. I always like to drink a teaspoon of olive oil as well to coat my throat.

5. Sightseeing – Not everyone is lucky enough to get to travel the world. You should get to know the city you are in if you have any downtime. I always like to ask fans or locals what their favorite spots are. These always end up being some of my best memories on the road.
