If I could have a dream tour lineup it would definitely be all over the place. There would for sure be someone for everyone because my taste in music is ridiculously broad. To start, I’d probably say the few that I mention all the time – Justin Bieber, Jon Bellion, and Jeremy Zucker. I remember being little and watching Justin Bieber’s YouTube videos and thinking to myself I wanted to do the same thing one day, so he’s always been one of my favorite artists. We could go back to “Baby” or keep it recent like “Peaches” and it’s just nonstop catchy vibes songs. He’s also just an incredible singer who puts on a show.
It’s funny I say both JB and Jon Bellion cause Jon wrote a lot of Justin’s recent album. Jon Bellion and Jeremy Zucker were the two artists I first really got into and inspired me to write more than I was. They’re both so great at writing and they’re the first two artists I really sat down and listened to song by song. I’d read the lyrics while I listened because I was so into it. Besides being great lyrically, they have some songs that would get a crowd jamming on the dream tour, so they need a spot on the lineup.
Next, I’d go with Billy Joel. He’s one of the artists that I’ve always loved listening to through my parents, even though I wasn’t into most of the other stuff they liked. “Vienna,” “Piano Man,” and “Uptown Girl.” I feel like everyone would rock with it. So universally loved.
After him, I would get some rappers in there. Juice Wrld is my favorite rapper ever and I never got to see him in concert. He’s someone who I genuinely think doesn’t have a single bad song. He was a bop machine and I’m still always finding new songs of his. I say all the time I think he was the most naturally talented freestyler, he’d just hear a beat and make a hit in one take. Roddy Ricch is another one who I think constantly makes great songs and would be so sick to tour with. So yeah, kinda all over the place but I think everyone would be able to get into it.
Anyways, it’s a good thing all those people inspired me to write because my single “soul in the sky” is out everywhere on November 5th, 2021, so share with your friends if you dig it!
