My first ever concert was a show of “Bullet For My Valentine” in Luxembourg on 02.07.2010.
I was just 10 years old (!) back then but I can assure you that I was their best and biggest fan in that concert hall.
The show was absolutely brilliant!
I knew all the lyrics of every single song and shouted them as loud as I could.
I was there with my parents because obviously I was too young to go by myself and we definitely gathered some funny looks from strangers as they were wondering what this little man is doing at a metal concert. I spent half of the show on my Father’s shoulders who tried to shield me from the mosh pits as well.
After the show, Matt Tuck, the lead singer of the band, came to me, hugged me, thanked me profoundly for my energy, and gifted me a guitar pick. I was shaking as we walked out of the venue. That’s a moment I will never forget. My expectations for that night were surpassed and I’m still so grateful to my parents that they took me there.
I got into metal music when I was around 7 years old because of my older brothers.
The first ever CDs I possessed were indeed the first two albums of Bullet For My Valentine called “The Poison” & “Scream Aim Fire” that my parents bought me during our holiday in London.
This band, among others definitely had a huge impact and influence on me and I still listen to them regularly”
