Today is the first day for us on the road. We left Milwaukee around 11am even though we were supposed to leave at 10am, ha-ha.  The drive wasn’t so bad considering we had only a two-hour drive to Chicago for our interview with Fearless radio.

Chicago traffic sucks major dick.  We were scheduled for our interview at 2pm and wound up reaching the Fearless office at 2:30pm.  They were pretty cool about us arriving late though and still gave us our full hour-long interview.

At the moment, we are on our way to our first show in Antioch, Illinois at Club Energy.  The show tonight isn’t actually apart of the tour, more just a kick-start for us before our 26-hour drive to Fort Myers, Florida.  All I hear is our bus driver blasting After The Burial way in the front and most of the other guys are passed out.  Sound check isn’t for another two hours or so.

The show tonight sucked.  Too many technical difficulties, but I have oddly been a in a good mood all night.  I guess it’s better that shit went wrong BEFORE the tour versus during.  I think we are heading to some Wal-Mart while on our way down to Florida right now and then finding a place to watch the Packer game (I’m guessing that will happen somewhere by Tennessee?).  I’m going to spend the rest of the night catching up on some Workaholics episodes and chill.

Last night we played in Fort Myers, Florida.  The show was amazing!  We didn’t expect that many people to come out considering we were the only band playing off the tour package and it was the first official show on the tour.  Our drummer’s grandma let us crash her place and shower, drink beer, eat, and hang out at the beach which was in the Gulf of Mexico which was fucking unreal.   Silence The City, clothing company that sponsors us came out to hang with us too, which was pretty cool.

We’ve been driving since 11am today trying to get to Jacksonville, Florida to meet up with Rookie of the Year and The Icarus Account and play the 2nd show of the tour.  Super stoked, I just hope we make it there on time considering we just took a detour after hitting a random traffic jam in where ever the hell we are.

Jacksonville was a pretty fun show. We met a ton of new friends and the venue was pretty sweet.  We wound up driving to Tampa Bay that night due to the kind of area that the venue was at.  We stayed at our merch guy (Jier)’s older sister’s house for our entire off day in Florida.  We watched movies all day and had a pretty legit cookout.  Oh yeah, it’s been raining all day too.

The show tonight was definitely the worst on tour so far.  There were about 15 kids (which we didn’t mind considering we’ve played for way less before) and a ton of technical issues with the sound guy on stage.  It made it really awkward cause everyone in the crowd could hear us on stage.  To keep us from holding the show up, we decided to do the set acoustic, which turned out fine in the end.

We are off to South Carolina tomorrow for the next show, but are stopping at a mechanical shop first to get our bus checked out.  Let’s hope we come out alive…
