Michael and Marisa – TOUR TIPS

Pop duo, Michael and Marisa, have written a set of helpful Tour Tips that you guys can learn from. You can check them out after the break.

1. Pack as little as possible, and have two small suitcases one for stage clothes and one for during the day clothes
2. Go with the flow…whatever the backline is…just make it work…be pleasant and positive.  The sound and stage people get griped at a lot so be the person who makes their day.
3. Make sure to really pay attention during sound check so that when it is show time you can hear yourself well and your bandmates.
4. Be friendly to the other performers and remember you are all there for the same reason: to make sure the audience has a good time. If other performers are snooty, just figure it’s their insecurities or lack of interest in reaching out to others.  Also don’t take it personally if there is nowhere for you to put your stuff or to sit etc.  Sometimes conditions are sparse, but it’s all about the audience and the show so just decide to make it a good experience.
5. Try not to eat junk 24/7 and pack snacks because small towns roll up the carpet sometimes at 9pm and there is no food anywhere
