In this Dream Tour segment, the alternative rock artist, Moe the Natural, reveals who he would want on his ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.
The Story So Far, Frank Ocean, XXXtentacion
Imagine it’s the last day of the tour, they have all become really good friends and they all wanna drag this one out, each artist plays a 2-hour set, encores, like literally 8 hours of music.
The story so far plays nice and early, the first thing you hear all night are guitars being tuned, the drummer warming up, and you just have that reassuring feeling of excitement from knowing without a doubt that tonight is about to go off, and TSSF as the opener isn’t even fair. The super high energy, the passive-aggressive aura, the bitterly jaded tone, the air just feels dangerous but safe at the same time as if you’re being welcomed to cry and slam into people as therapy, and to be honest, that’s exactly what it is.
Lights come down, the stage is being rearranged, keyboards and a piano are wheeled on, a handful of important-looking musicians sit down… Frank walks out. Even if you know you’re going to see Frank Ocean it’s still hard to believe that you’re actually witnessing Frank Ocean exist in real life, and then the crowd just ascends with him like always. He just has the shocking ability to lead human beings to otherworldly places.
That is going to be hard to follow, and I think there is only one person ever that could’ve. The stage cuts all light, completely pitch black. A single light beams down and X steps into it. Chills. There was no one like him. Total conviction and commitment to his music. He was his music, and we watched him live inside of that torment, and it caused anguish and violence and it all comes out in his performances. He was a true human.
Imagine the total drain of emotion you would have, your soul has been taken out and put back into your chest so many times. THAT is my dream tour.
