Moon Panda – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, Maddy Myers of the indie rock band, Moon Panda, lets you know who they would like on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

Moon Pandas dream tour would have to consist of quite a few places varying from playing big, energetic festivals like Glastonbury or Roskilde to intimate, iconic venues such as Ronnie Scotts where you have the chance to really bond with the audience.

As much as we would love to tour the world as headliners it would be such an honor to play as support for some of the people that have inspired us the most. As a band, we’re probably most inspired by Bon Iver and would be beyond thrilled to support them. We love everything he’s put out but especially his new album 22, A Million. It really inspired us with how innovative and ambitious it is, from the songwriting to the production, and we think it’s very rare for an album to be so beautiful without necessarily being sad.

If we each had our own pick, I (Maddy) would love to tour with Beach House because I really appreciate how unique their sound is and their live show always has such a calm but awe-inspiring vibe. Gustav would want to tour with Radiohead as they’re his number one influence and have been so ever-changing which he finds really admirable. He’s also never gotten to see them live so that would be a good enough reason in itself.

Right now we like to perform as a trio because it’s simple but it’s also a challenge to use every instrument, note, and silent space count. That being said we know that our sound will develop and we’d love to perform as a bigger ensemble one day.
