Motion City Soundtrack’s Farewell tour came to Milwaukee, Wi and I had the pleasure of capturing their last performance here. Accompanying them on the bill were Have Mercy, and Light Years.
Light Years started off the night and started it they did. Joining them on stage was their new bassist, Javi, this being his first tour with them. Playing songs such as “My Whole Life”, and others, they made sure everyone was pumped and ready for the rest of the night.

Up next was Have Mercy. This was my first time seeing them live and hopefully not my last. They had a certain vibe about them from the moment they started playing that seemed to captivate everyone’s attention. They’ve been a band for 6 years now and I don’t see them stopping anytime soon. Playing “Howl”, “Two Years”, “My Oldest Friend”, “The Place You Love”, and more they had people running to their merch guy after their set.

Once Motion City Soundtrack took the stage, everyone was heard singing along. You could feel the intensity and enjoyment from the fans singing and dancing along with them during their last set in Milwaukee. Making sure to play all the hits and classics, such as “Makeout Kids”, “True Romance, “Let’s Get Fucked Up and Die”, “Her Words”, and many, many others. It felt like the night wouldn’t end and I’m sure many did not want it to. The crowd had mosh pits opening up as well. Giving mini pep talks in between songs, lead singer, Justin Pierre, also thanked everyone for being there with them through it all.

If you did not catch them on this tour, hopefully, you got to see them at least once in your lifetime. They are a band that has so much energy on stage and really give it all when they play. Being a band for almost twenty years, they’ve had a lot of practice. I’m sad to see them go but so happy that they were apart of my life.
