Mouth of the South – CRAZY TOUR STORIES

This Crazy Tour Stories segment was written by the progressive metal band, Mouth of the South. You can check out their wild story from the road, after the break.

“We havent had too many crazy experiences. Most of our trips are pretty straight forward. This past spring though we got to have some cool stuff happen. We had just played the JAMboree festival in Ohio and we were on our way to New Jersey to play our next show which was still 3 days ahead of us and we really had no idea what we were gonna do for 3 days after already being on the road for 4 weeks to this point.

We decided to stop at a McDonald’s a couple hours outside of Philadelphia and when we got there I (Josiah) remembered this organization called RYFO and how they house bands and that we were already signed up with them but had never used the services. I got online and started trying to figure out how to use the site and began searching for host homes in the area and I found that there was only one in the state of Pennsylvania and it just so happened to be 20 minutes away from where we stopped.

I emailed the family asking if they could house us and they quickly responded that we would be able to stay with them. We spent the next 3 days hanging out in a basement/ bachelor pad watching countless hours of movies and having one of the best off time experiences to date. We were also able to find another house to stay at through RYFO a few days later due to having another string of off days so it worked out really nicely.”
