Multi Ultra - PRESHOW RITUALS
Join us as Multi Ultra reveals what they do before taking the stage.
In this Preshow Rituals segment, the rock band, Multi Ultra, reveals what they do before taking the stage. You can check out the rituals below:
In some cases, Multi Ultra performs upwards of 3 or 4 times a week, so preparation has become a lifestyle. A lot of time is spent on the off-days running scales, practicing new songs, working out, and letting our bodies recover in order to lighten show-day pressure. Putting in the hours of work before the performance allows us the freedom of relaxing into the flow of the show. Here’s how each member of Multi Ultra prepares for the stage:
Chris Bevacqua (Bass): “I like to stretch/ warm up the fingies, get my headspace right, grab a Red Bull, huddle with the band.”
Chrystian Kaplan (Drums): “Before playing, I like to warm up my hands with some practice pad stockings. Then I like to visualize the performance in my head. After that, huddle with the band before taking the stage.”
Nolan Brown (Guitar, BGVs): “Stretch the fingers and hands, relax with deep breaths, grab a Coca-Cola for a little zip zip, and greet some fans face to face before I hit the stage.”
Derrick Wesley (Lead Vocals): “I benefit from clearing my mind and centering myself in the moment. I like to meditate on my breath, do a little yoga, run some vocal warmups, and even some jumping jacks to get the blood pumping.”
