MXMS – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the funeral pop duo, MXMS, let you know who they would like on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

Our Dream Tour starts with the vehicle (we’ll actually going to do this too btw), we want to modify a Cadillac hearse to where it seats 4 or 5 comfortably. In the back there will be one bed, that is located in the coffin, of course. We plan on installing a go-pro in the coffin, that has night vision, so we can live-stream “the coffin cam” so people can always see who’s in there while we’re traveling. We’ll get a matching small black trailer and have the same hearse decals on it as the car. All black with black tinted windows.

Our dream lineup of acts is long, but high on the list is Massive Attack. We feel aligned with them musically, and on many other platforms that they support and discuss. Their simple melancholy approach and brilliant collaborations with other vocalists have inspired a lot of the music we’re writing right now. It’s utterly timeless, but with a beautiful British 90’s coat of sheen that really no one can pull off, quite like they can.

If we were to choose a band that is a bit newer, we’d pick Aurora. Her spirit is pure and she rips every chord from the heart and wraps them around you like a blanket of air. In a musical world where a great deal of things that are unoriginal are becoming popular; Aurora is an island in the sea and we want to be stranded with her.
