NEIMY – PRESHOW RITUALS

Before I go on stage I try to keep myself busy. Usually, it’s hard to eat, just before, but I try to do it anyway. I don’t wanna think too much about the songs I’m gonna sing. I wanna try to save a lot of my feelings for my songs and enjoy it in the moment while on stage. If I start thinking about lyrics I can go nuts, so I try to not think about it and try to trust myself. The sound check is the best part before, that’s when you come to know the scene and make friends with it. And to have that time in the rehearsal is great, and it helps me to feel comfortable.

The minutes before I usually breath slow and jump up and down and try to shake the last nerves off and feel the excitement.

Nowadays I’m having a lot of time in the studio and staying in my creative bubble and not on stage that often. But it is always an adrenaline kick and it gives me addictive feelings once I get there.

It is always fun when you connect with an audience and feel good vibes. The purpose of a performance is to share my songs and have a moment together when you get both the visual and the sounds at once. Hopefully, it gives the listeners another dimension.
