Neon Dreams – TOUR TIPS

In this Tour Tips segment, the pop band, Neon Dreams, give you their tips for being on tour. You can check out the feature, after the break.

1 – Establish your space. If you’re traveling with a band or a group of people always establish your space within the van, bus or whatever it is you’re touring in. Especially if it’s a long period of time. Being cramped in a vehicle with multiple people can be tough and you need to establish your personal space or it may end in pointless arguments over who’s side of the seat bench you’ve intruded (this may sound really dumb and funny but it is key) ((also establish your neck pillow))
2 – Eat healthy snacks. Pack them in advance. Seriously. You can only survive off of chips, jerky and chocolate bars for so long en-till you realize that mini veggie tray in the gas station actually doesn’t look so bad.
3 – Buy a battery pack for your phone. I have a charger block that will charge my phone 10 times off of 1 overnight charge that was only about $60. No more battling for a plug in a van, and portability in case you’re somewhere and just need a bit of extra juice. Maybe you forgot to plug in the night before, but worry no more because you have a full charge at any time with the external battery block.
4 – Go on walks and adventure on your own. Having personal time is important when on tour and it’s hard to get. Going on walks on your downtime is key to get some personal space and you also get some bonus exercise as a plus.
5 – Ask for a rider buyout. Sure it’s really convenient to have your rider set up and waiting for you each night, but you’re also not going to eat and drink everything on it each night. Sometimes it’s much better to just get the buyout for the rider and save that cash for other things, and maybe you want to switch up what you have each day. Either way, you can do anything with that extra cash and perhaps you’d prefer a fresh new pack of socks instead of that bottle of vodka one night.
