In this Dream Tour segment, the melodic metal band, Neospora, reveals who they would want on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.
Hi all! I’m Andreas, drummer and songwriter in the symphonic metal project Neospora, I’ve been invited to the Digital Tour Bus to do a guest blog on a topic that got me really excited:
“Who would you have on your dream tour lineup (dead or alive, no limits)?”
There are a lot of bands that I’d love to bring on tour, and to avoid making this the longest blog post in DTB history, I’ve come up with a few restrictions to narrow down the list of options:
– Only allow bands active today and their current lineups
– Choose among bands that truly blew my mind the first time I heard them
– Pick bands that our listeners could enjoy
Well, without further ado, here is my dream tour lineup:
I’ve seen these guys perform live 9 times already, and being able to see them play each night on tour would be nothing short of awesome! Each member of this band has truly mastered their craft, they are just able to play anything no matter the complexity, and their songwriting just clicks with me on an unparalleled level.
I still remember the first time hearing Dream Theater, at that point, as a teenager, I had never listened to progressive metal before. The odd time signatures and the world-class musicianship just blew my mind.
I’ve only seen this guy live once, but what a performance it was! Virtuosic playing, epic songs, and a lot of humor, I mean, what more can you ask for?
My first exposure to the Devin Townsend Project was at the local music store, Epicloud was just released and blasted through the speakers. I still love the huge sound and the great melodies almost nine years later!
Nightwish was my gateway into metal. As a young drummer, a 12 or 13-year-old who had never listened to metal before, these symphonic metal giants introduced me to a whole new world of music and drumming, I hadn’t even heard of double kick drums before, I mean, of course, my mind was blown! Also, according to data from Spotify, a lot of people listening to Neospora also listens to Nightwish, this band would be a perfect fit in the dream tour lineup.
