Ok, some of my personal favourite artists started out as songwriters for mainstream artists. Because songwriting is one of my absolute favourite things about music in general, I would love to open for some of my favourite songwriters. Artists like Julia Michaels, Ed Sheeran, Maren Morris, and the two below are insanely talented and write hit after hit. I can only imagine how much I would learn from watching them perform every night and I’d love to get the “behind the scenes” for all songs I love! And of course, get to hang out with them on a personal level and obviously become best friends…

I love going to intimate concerts in smaller venues and hearing artists open up and dive into the stories behind their songs. As much as I love their music, I equally love hearing them talk about how it came to be.

I first discovered Kacey Musgraves while on a road trip with my dad. I heard her single Follow Your Arrow on a country music station and was shocked (in a good way) by the fearless lyrics. I love the storytelling that comes with country music but a lot of it doesn’t touch on controversial topics and Kacey Musgraves doesn’t seem to be afraid to do so, which I think is huge for the genre and mainstream music in general! I also think she isn’t afraid to bend the genres and release music from country to pop and more, which is something I resonate with and would love to do in my own career.

On the flip side and moving more into the pop world, I think touring with Ariana Grande would be an incredible time. Having seen her live years ago and seeing how her voice and show have progressed over the years, getting to tour with her and her team would be life-changing. You can tell that the energy on stage spreads throughout the whole venue and her fans are electric. Getting to perform for a group of loyal fans like that, singing every part of your songs back to you, would feel amazing!

I also know that a lot of artists like to bring their opening acts on stage with them to sing a collaboration and seeing as how these two musicians are two of my favourite vocalists, that would be a dream come true.
