In this Crazy Tour Stories segment, the pop rock band, Not Happy, shares one of their stories from being on the road. You can check out the story, after the break.

It was the second day of the tour, and we were headed to Nashville from Conway, Arkansas, which is about a five-hour drive depending on who’s driving. It was dollar beer night at the bar in Conway, so needless to say, we were all a little hungover and just wanted to get to Nashville as quickly as possible. The drive started okay, but then we hit traffic.
Like everyone else, we started checking our phones looking for alternate routes, but there were only two intersecting highways in this part of Arkansas. We were trapped, and the highway was a literal parking lot. People were outside their vehicles in chairs, talking to other drivers, the whole thing. Eventually, we found what we thought was a small road on Google Maps, and out of desperation, we took it.
This was not so much a road as it was an actual farm with potholes and mud like we’ve never seen before. At some point, we realized that the van was digging deep into the dirt, so to keep from getting stuck, we floored it. People and gear are flying and bouncing everywhere. One band member was lying down, and his whole body came off the seat. Everyone is yelling and holding on for dear life, and just when we think the van isn’t going to make it, the clouds part, and a road opens up.
Ten hours after leaving Conway, we made it to Nashville just in time to play our show. We played great, but the van was never the same.
