In this Dream Tour segment, the metalcore band, Obsidian, reveals who they would want on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.

For us, the dream tour would be made of bands that influenced us, bands that we are absolute fans of.

Among us, the band that we all agree on is Meshuggah.
They have been our initiation to progressive metal and Obsidian probably wouldn’t exist without their music. As a matter of fact, our band is named after the song “Obsidian” in Nothing, which was the opening song they used to play on The Ophidian Trek 2012 tour. It took us quite some time to understand them at first, their rhythmics being so complex but they keep mesmerizing us every time we see them live or when we listen to their songs.

The next band would be TesseracT, they are pioneers of the modern progressive metal scene. We discovered them when they were touring with Animals As Leaders and came by our hometown. We weren’t aware of their music but their performance blew us away and inspired us in a lot of aspects. Despite the fact we were too shy to approach them at the merch table, they seemed really nice, just like in their tour podcasts they did recently. The combination of aggressive groovy parts with pure lyrical moments is what makes us that obsessed with their music, we are also found of Acle´s production and guitar tone.

Apart from this, every touring experience is awesome and we really look forward to meet new people!

Keep up with the band on Facebook and Instagram.
