Oh, man. The first like actual show I went to was Twenty One Pilots. I had seen a couple of artists live before that, but Twenty One Pilots was the first concert where I like made sure I got tickets myself. All the other times I had been invited by a friend.
This was back in 2014. It was at Kemba Live, but back then I think it was called the LC. I was super excited, man. Like crazy excited. I had wanted to see them for years and had to make my mom come with me (she was a fan too).
The whole show blew me away. I was in awe. This was definitely the moment where I realized what live music could be. Before then I hadn’t understood the experience you could create playing music. They had all these acts and theatrics they did. There was this one part specifically that I remember. It was before Ode to Sleep I think. This voice like said some kind of poem and then Tyler shot Josh and then himself. It was crazy dude. My mind was blown and I told myself that I had to pursue music and play shows one day.
Keep up with the band on Instagram.
