Okilly Dokilly – TOUR TIPS

In this Tour Tips segment, Head Ned of the Nedal band, Okilly Dokilly, give you their tips for being on tour. You can check out the feature, after the break.

Below are 5 tips from Head Ned for being on the road. They are a little specific to our band, which makes them not helpful at all, but hopefully fun to read.

1. Label Your Stuff
When everyone in the band wears the same exact outfit every day and each person has five copies of the same exact outfit, it gets difficult to tell which sweater goes to which band member. By simply labeling your name on the inside tag of your clothes, no polo or pair of pants will be misplaced.

2. Don’t All Have the Same Name
When everyone in the band wears the same exact outfit every day and each person has five copies of the same exact outfit, and everyone writes ‘Ned’ on the inside tag, it really doesn’t do anyone any good.

3. No Homers
If you don’t want everything but the veggie tray eaten by the time you get backstage, make sure to place ‘No Homers’ signs in various places backstage and around the venue. Failing to do so might also result in borrowed (and never returned) amps and gear. Also, the signs hardly work, but you can say you tried.

4. No footlongs
They make us uncomfortable.

5. Respect Your Neighborinos
Always treat every neighborino you meet with kindness. Even if they boo or curse or call you stupid sexy Flanders or inadvertently murder your wife, make sure to keep a smile on your face and a little diddly in your step because they’re making your tour that much better by being there for your show.
