Choosing a Dream Tour? That’s easy. The first band that I can think of is Slipknot. They got me into extreme metal, which changed my life, so it would only be fitting for them to occupy my Dream Tour slot. To be support for Slipknot would be absolutely insane. I know for certain that there will never be another Slipknot, not even a band close to them, so to one day perform on a tour with them would be a dream come true. In my opinion, they are the most captivating live band that metal has ever had. It’s more than the music or the performance – it’s the connection they have with their fans. I’ve always enjoyed the loud and explosive presence and fast-paced playing that their albums have to offer, but Slipknot really comes to life when performing live, on a completely different level.
“Runners Up” Dream Tour bands for me would definitely be Meshuggah, Lamb of God and Opeth. Meshuggah are the godfathers of extreme progressive metal, hands down, and have influenced all of us in Oni quite a bit. They’re definitely one of my favourite bands of all time. Lamb of God are also one of my all-time favourites, and I think being on tour with Randy would be a great time. Plus, just being able to watch them live every night would be amazing. There’s is nothing like watching Randy Blythe live in action, and in my opinion, he is one of the greatest front men of all time. Performing with them at Knotfest vs. Ozzfest last month was definitely an honor and a trip.
I love watching Opeth play, I have always been a big fan and I think Opeth’s crowds would really like enjoy the signature Oni sound. I’m sure they’d appreciate the contrast of melody vs. death metal that we perform – it’s a genre mix that both of our bands dabble with in different ways. That’s what I think could push Oni our there with really any bands on the major touring spectrum – we perform in-your-face heavy metal groove but also incorporate a lot of progressive and technical aspects that will work with many bands.

Keep up with the band on Facebook and Twitter!
