ORKID – FIRST CONCERT EVER

In this First Concert Ever segment, the electro pop artist, ORKID, talks about the story of her first experience with live music. You can check out the story, after the break.

I was about 14 years old, I remember waking up that morning, it was gonna be one of the biggest moments of my life same category as getting married. Yes, I was going to see Justin Bieber and also maybe he would notice me too for the first time (seemed reasonable).

Everything was planned down to a tee. Makeup, hairstyle, outfit, even perfume. I was ready. I traveled with my family on a train for six hours until we reached Stockholm city.

We checked in to a hostel and rushed to the arena, the moment had finally arrived, I was about to meet my future husband. Soon as I got there I realized it was going to be harder than I thought, this was like the Bachelor on steroids. Me, against a whole arena.

The concert was delayed for two hours but now finally the moment had arrived. Fast forward to one less lonely girl and he was going to pick one less lonely girl to bring up on stage. He picked out a girl from the crowd and started singing to her when I realized the last lonely girl was a girl from my hometown. The concert lived up to the expectations but I think what I really took with me home from that concert was a broken heart lol.
