In this Crazy Tour Stories segment, the melodic metal band, Oversense, shares one of their stories from being on the road. You can check out the story, after the break.
One of the craziest tour stories for us had nothing to do with a crazy party night or something similar. When we toured with Doro in 2018 we had a show in Görlitz in the very east of Germany. The next day a show was planned in Vienna, which was about a 7-hour trip to drive through the night after our performance. On that first big tour, there wasn’t a budget for crew members, drivers, or anything else, so when we arrived in Vienna in the morning around 9 o’clock we’ve been a little exhausted, to be honest. There we’ve been with only 4 hours left until we needed to be at the next venue, trying to get at least 2 hours of sleep: We received our hotel room key, went into an elevator, that really doesn’t seem too confidence-inspiring, arrived fully packed at the room’s door in the highest floor and we opened. We heard a sleepy voice call “Do I need to move out?” There’s been some dude lying in one of our fucking beds…didn’t know what to reply at that moment, so I just responded “Nevermind, good night” and closed the door.
