Patrick Hemer – TOUR TIPS

This set of Tour Tips was written by the progressive metal musician, Patrick Hemer. You can check out his tips on how to tour, after the break.

1. Get fit and healthy before going on tour.

2. Stay fit and healthy. Avoid local food experiments, take one hour everyday for a jogging or for some gym, and leave boozing and partying to old school Rockers.

3. Take a daily break from your band mates and from the road crew. A moment away from tour related talk is extremely relaxing. A book can be a good way to achieve that.

4. Remember that your personal roadie is your best friend during the show and your equipment’s best friend during the rest of the day. So make sure you’re his best friend as well…

5. Always carry an audio recorder with you (it can be your phone). Inspiration can strike anytime anywhere.
