Thinking about a dream tour for your band is always a fun thing to do. Since we started playing music together we have always talked about the many different bands and artists that we would love to tour with. This list is based around many different reasons which include: the insane crowds that they bring to their shows, how much fun we would have being on the road with them, the similar styles in music we share together, being able to watch them every day, sharing the stage with someone that influenced us as musicians, hanging out with someone who inspired us to play music, etc. It’s so hard to only pick one dream tour when there are so many options.
Recent Rumors dream tour would be opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers, The 1975, Kings of Leon, and Journey.
Red Hot Chili Peppers have always been a band that most of us have looked up to since we got into music. Their crazy history, amazing music, insane live performances, solid musicianship, and strong friendship have influenced us as artists in one way or another. Every now and then we get together and watch live videos of RHCP and barely have any words. The fact that they are still touring after being together for over 30 years inspires us to try to do the same. They’re the fucking Red Hot Chili Peppers. Why would you not want to tour with them?
The 1975 has always collectively been one of our favorite bands. Their music, image, live show, and unique writing style have placed them into this position. Even though it would very difficult opening for a band who has such an incredible live performance, we would love to be on tour with them. As a band, we look up to The 1975 for many different reasons and they continue to have a very heavy influence on us as we move forward.
To actually share the stage with a band of brothers such as Kings of Leon that went from having almost nothing and grinned their way to stardom would be an incredible experience to watch every night. As a songwriter, their sound and writing style influence me in ways that many other bands do not. Plus, it would be sick to tour with a band that I’m always jamming to in my car.
How could journey not be on your dream tour? We have spent our lives listening to their records and it never gets old. We would love to watch their show every night on tour and not only learn from them but be inspired by them. We might never get the opportunity to be on tour with these guys but we won’t stop believing.
