We recently had the chance to check out the Chicago date of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ “Don’t You Fake It 10 Year Anniversary Tour” with local support, Marina City. You can check out our review and gallery, after the break.
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ 10-year anniversary tour for their album, Don’t You Fake It, brought them to Wire in Berwyn, IL. Opening up for them at this show was Chicago’s own, Marina City.
Marina City opened the night and for a Thursday night, this place was packed. From the moment they went on until they left, they had fans singing along and the energy up. If you’ve never seen Marina City live, you really should. They all have incredible stage presence and know how to get a crowd going. They radiate positive vibes throughout the set and the passion can be seen in all of the members during the show. Check out songs such as The Lost Boys, I Can’t Love You and Falling Up and Breaking Down to sing along with them at this year’s Riot Fest.

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus played their album, Don’t You Fake It, in its entirety for a crowd that seemed to be singing back the words and reminiscing back to ten years ago when they first heard the album. In between a few of the songs, Ronnie, would tell a backstory or what the song was about before they performed it. Mosh pits formed and the crowd gave that high energy right back to the band. At the show, it was announced that this album had just gone platinum, so congrats and here’s to another 10 years!
