Rivers of Nihil – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, Jon Kunz of the death metal band, Rivers of Nihil, shares the acts that they would include on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.

Ahh yes, the “dream tour” lineup, always super fun to think about this stuff so I’ll list a lineup that speaks for my whole band, well almost…

1) PINK FLOYD – One of the few bands we collectively agree upon and the masters of expansive song writing. The show they Played at Pompeii may be the coolest set ever. As headliners of the dream tour, Floyd would play echoes every night and we would get lost in the sound, man.

2) DECAPITATED -Decapitated would be playing Organic Hallucinosis (one of the best modern death metal albums) plus select “classics” such as spheres of madness and three dimensional defect.

3) SIGUR ROS – The second Jonsi starts to sing, every metal head will start to tear up. Sigur Ros is the saddest band ever, making them perfect for this tour.

4) WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM – On the eve of releasing the BBC sessions they did a few years ago, this will be the tour that brings WITTR back from the woods. They won’t be able to turn it down, reclaiming themselves as kings of American black metal, making a billion imitators irrelevant.
