Robby Johnson – DREAM TOUR

This summer my family and I had the great privilege to travel around the US with a camping trailer attached to my F-150. Driving from city to city, discovering new places, new faces, tasting incredible local foods and specialties but most certainly, creating moments with fans that wanted to hear my music. Nothing too fancy but man it was coming from the heart. It was such a great experience for me, my wife and the kids. It was long hours of driving and overnight sleeps in rest areas but it brought us closer to each other and made us a stronger family.

Stops included Eau-Claire WI where I was invited to perform on the main stage of Country JAM USA opening for Thomas Rhett and Jason Aldean. T’was really awesome to see the huge crowds of country music lovers gathering for a great musical party. We got there the day before and had the chance to watch Jake Owen deliver an electrifying performance. Getting to be a part of something bigger than yourself is always a cool experience. The best part is sharing the music with the fans. Watching them sing to your lyrics that you wrote on a piece of paper with all your heart is an out of this world experience. The connection is strong and very addictive.

Opening for major acts, talking with their crew and players, learning by watching and getting to talk with people that succeeded in this business is an important part of this process. My dream tour would definitely be to travel all across the US and Canada with my family in that camping trailer again. So many more states and provinces to discover, so many more flavors, restaurants, ice-cream spots and above all, so many more fans I haven’t seen yet. After my shows, I always take the time to speak to every fan that is willing to wait in line to see me. I gotta say it’s often the favorite part of my show. So my dream tour is very simple. It’s being close to the people I love the most and creating unique moments with my fans. Magical moments to remember.
