In this Dream Tour segment, the melodic hardcore band, Rosehill, reveals who they would want on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.
Isaac’s pick – Title Fight because they were a huge inspiration for music that has never left, the lads just look like they have constant fun in doing whatever they do and don’t care what anyone thinks about them.
Jak’s pick – I’d hands down have to choose Basement for my tour band. Isaac showed me Colourmeinkindess which was my first introduction to melodic hardcore at the time, and with songs like Comfort and Covet, the whole album just really stuck with me. Basement allowed me to learn about so many other great bands. It’s those two factors I play with Rosehill today.
Ben’s pick – Korn (but the 1999 era) – Scatting, bagpipes, and Adidas kilts. LETS GOOO! I know they’re a meme now but IT’S KORN! Jokes aside, I’ve gone through many phases, and tastes, got bored of certain bands, and rediscovered some but few held steady throughout, Korn is one of them that has been part of my daily listening since around 2002 and in turn, became one of those that heavily inspired me to pursue music and write songs. The 1999 era is prime Korn to me, 3 albums deep playing unreleased songs off the 4th, on top of the game and it felt like they were still captivating with powerful energy and a true sense of desperation, something that has always resonated with me. Some shows I’d be vibing side of the stage but most I’d be in the pit cutting aggressive shapes. Regardless, it would be insane to see and be part of it.
Conner’s pick – A dream band to tour with for me would be The Story So Far, the songs for me are timeless, I’d be stood stageside every night just in awe, the vibe at their shows makes you feel like you’re finally back home, everything they’ve created is solid from 680 south and Snyder street through to their newest album proper dose regardless of my mood story is playing in my car, so yeah just to be able to tour with the people that founded my love for this type music would be the pinnacle!
Marley’s pick – My dream band to tour with would have to be Rage Against The Machine. They completely changed my perspective on what a band could be, not just because of their blend of genres but also because of their activism. I love their music and their message and think that touring with them would be an incredible experience.
