Roses & Revolutions – PRESHOW RITUALS

In this Preshow Rituals segment, the indie pop band, Roses & Revolutions, chat about what they do before taking the stage. You can check out what they do and listen to their newest single, “Big Bad Wolf”, after the break.

Before shows on tour, we like to explore the new city/town we’re in! We always find our way to a coffee spot and get an Americano (Caffeine, baby!).
Matt and I (Alyssa) typically don’t eat before a show, so we’ll grab a bite in the early afternoon (usually something carb-y to hold us over).
While doing so, we scope out the good grub to pig out on after our set.

About an hour before each show, we start getting ready and relax until the show. I usually have to use the bathroom 5 or 6 times and Matt goes and looks at the crowd every 5 minutes.

On this tour with Gin Wigmore, we’ve been playing some really cool, historic venues, so we’ve been spending some time looking at photos and reading up on who’s been through! At the last venue we did in Boulder, CO, past performances included Coldplay, Radiohead and tons of other big names! Super cool.
