As a singer, I have so many influences. If I were to create my “dream tour,” diversity is an aspect of my vision that would be a must. I love how live music–whether it’s pop, r&b, rap or country–brings so many people together at once, despite our differences. I love all types of music and would love to have a tour full of all types of genres.
Opener: Me! As the first act, I would keep it simple and classy to really showcase the songs. Also, I would love to have my friend and national artist, Swift (a.k.a. Swiffa Baby), join me onstage to rap during my song, “Diamond Heart.” I was fortunate enough to have him featured on my new EP. I might also have some dancers during, “Anyway,” and some cool video imagery for, “Fray.”
Florida-Georgia Line: After some pop and a little bit of rap, I would immediately bring in these guys to keep the party going. I love their energy on stage and how you can see their love for music. It’s always so much fun to be at their show and be with your friends and just have a good time.
6LACK: This is the point in the show that I would bring in some intensity. I’ve seen him in concert twice and not only do I love his music and how you can’t help but move to it, I also love how his music tells his story and his journey. You feel like you know him. You can feel the hurt and the love in each one of his songs.
The 1975: Again, I would keep the crowd guessing and pull in this band to set the stage for the headliner. I went to their concert about a year ago and was totally engulfed in their music and how they performed. Their lyrics are incredible and the emotion with which they perform is amazing.
Michael Jackson: I don’t I think I really need to explain this one. He’s a legend. I wish I could’ve sat down and asked him questions, learned from him, and seen him live. But, since this is my dream tour, that can happen! I would probably also have him serve as creative director for the entire show because he’s just pure musical genius.
Of course, this is only four of many artists I would love to go on my dream tour with, but overall, I love artists who connect with their fans and make them feel good. After all, that’s what music is all about!
