In this Dream Tour segment, the metalcore band, Saving Vice, reveals who they would want on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.
Hello there, we’re Saving Vice and we have combined a list of bands we would love to have on our dream tour. It was pretty hard to narrow this down but we came up with a list we all agreed on to bounce off Digital Tour Bus so check this out.
Bring Me the Horizon: Let’s start with the obvious one. I doubt there are too many metalcore bands who wouldn’t want to tour with BMTH in some capacity. Our entire band grew up on their music at some point and their influence in our music as well as thousands of other bands is obvious. They have been pioneers of modern metalcore with every step and even when they aren’t making heavy music metal bands are still taking notes. Their discography is so diverse and easy to listen to on repeat and they are a band that is not just a business but a creative empire and they are doing everything that we want to be doing. BMTH was a big inspiration for our decision to make our sound so diverse and they are constantly proving that you can make any music you want if you do it well. We could die happy seeing “Saving Vice” on the same flyer as BMTH.
Architects: There must be something in the water across the pond because one of the few bands in this genre that we feel has stood the test of time and continue to grow is Architects. They have been a very big inspiration in our music as well as our standards we hope to achieve. They have written some of the most pristine, and moving heavy music in metalcore and have overcome many things that would have stopped a lot of bands in their tracks. Their story adds a lot of weight to their already massive sound and lyrics. The only bad part about playing with them is we would never feel like we played well in front of them. They are a gold standard. Already this tour could go off but we have three more bands for your consideration.
Motionless in White: So many things we could say about this band. We’ve followed their career since they first dropped “The Whorror” and they have never let us down. MIW was one of those bands that helped shape the scene of metalcore in the 2010’s glory days. One of our favorite things about them is they were never afraid to look how they want or afraid to write whatever they wanted about whatever they wanted whilst always delivering the sound you loved in the first place. They’re our favorite example of a band that changed its sound without abandoning the genre they came up in. They have inspired us a lot and are an absolutely necessary addition to our dream tour.
My Chemical Romance: The reason we first painted our nails and wore all black. MCR arguably pulled out the angst in us all at early ages and what they have built as a band is nothing short of legendary. Gerard’s lyrics, theatrics, image, and his creativity behind the scenes has inspired generations to come as well as us. Only one in a million bands do what they have done and with such a short discography in the grand scheme of things. It’s hard not to idolize the bands who showed us what it takes to succeed in this industry while maintaining your humility and legacy. It would be insane to not add them to this lineup if we could.
Linkin Park: The GOAT. If you asked any member of any band in our scene it’s unlikely you’d run into many who can’t say Linkin Park was one of the first bands that got them into “screaming” music. Chester was one of the greatest frontmen to ever live. What he has left behind is something I don’t think any band will be able to do again. Hybrid Theory and Meteora shaped the musicians we all are from the very beginning and their music holds up decades later even against modern music. They were the only reason we decided to have two vocalists because they were the only band who really did it the perfect way in our opinions. We always joked we would one day evolve into something like Linkin Park as our sound evolved and maybe it will, maybe it won’t. It’s hard to know what the future holds for their live music career but here on Digital Tour Bus anything goes. Linkin Park, Chester resurrected or not, is the ultimate addition to our dream tour lineup. We might just have to make a dream tour setlist playlist so we can imagine it.
Thanks for having us on Digital Tour Bus and taking some time to check out our fantasy lineup. Stay safe and eyes up.
