ALL I SEEK – PRESHOW RITUALS

In this Preshow Rituals segment, the progressive metal band, ALL I SEEK, reveals what they do before taking the stage. You can check out the rituals, after the break.

It’s show day. We’ve made it through our day jobs and snuck off early. We’ve loaded gear into the venue. We’ve sound-checked. We’ve fixed the faulty cable and found the missing guitar tuner. Our drummer has arrived late.

It’s now time for the lucky ALL I SEEK pre-show ritual.

First, we smash back some burgers and chips. Bonus points if its Soul Shack’s Spicy chicken burgers (The best in Wellington, NZ).

Second, bubble tea. Yum. Meanwhile, we check out the bands playing before us and have a bit of a mosh without spilling our drinks.

Thirdly, head to the green room and lie down in a circle to do some Wim Hof breathing exercises. These are great for calming our nerves, putting aside any of life’s worries and getting in the right headspace to go and perform as best we can.

Fourth, Jam out and listen to anything that isn’t Metal (There will be plenty of that later). Our go-tos include Justin Bieber, The 1975, The Neighbourhood or any new pop tunes that tickle our fancy.

Finally, It’s time to huddle and hype each other up. It’s amazing we’ve met each other and made it this far, now it’s time to enjoy putting on the show and give it all our energy.
