Serianna, along with The Great Commission, is on “The Walking Revival Tour”. While on this tour they will be writing periodic blogs for us. The first one can be read after the break,
The Walking Revival Tour,
This year has been our first real dip into the life of working/starving/full-time touring metal-core band. This tour is proof that the smaller tours (that may have felt insignificant at the time) have started paying off. The shows have been really really great. All the bands on this tour package are extremely talented, and have a ton to offer every single night. Just to get it out of the way, we are very happy to be a part of this tour and have the privilege to share a stage with any and all of these bands. The first day of this tour (for us) was on April 21st. A big goal for me on TWRTour is to do our best to be on time to our itinerary everyday- Even though we were late the first day by a few hours due to a tire blowing out on or way to Indiana. One of our biggest fans is little Layne, he is only 8 years old and he is literally inspiration in human form. He is always so excited to hear our music and watch us play, it’s unlike anything I have seen. He made it to our first two shows of this tour, and I couldn’t be any more sincere when I say that Layne and his family mean the world to myself and SERIANNA. Our second show was headlined by Veil Of Maya, which was incredible. They are such and amazing band, and some of the most chill/nice band guys I have met. On the day of our 3rd show, we released our brand new cover/interpretation of the famous hip-hop song by Eminem “Lose Yourself”. It seems to be going over really really well. It’s still an AP exclusive stream until Tuesday May 1st. We ended up having two show cancellations and we decided to make our days off productive. Sam Link has been along with us on this tour, so we decided to shoot a music for our cover. It was our first real music video, and it has been a TON of fun. If I’m not mistaken, it will be live on that May 1st, after it is no longer an AP exclusive, please help us share this video! Our show this Friday was at The Championship in beautiful NJ. It’s a small place, but this is our second time there and the catering is undoubtedly some of the best food we could ask for. If your band gets the opportunity to play here, TAKE IT! haha I promise you won ‘t regret it after you have eaten. Something that is new to us this tour is repeating some of the same venues we have played at on previous tours. It’s been incredibly rewarding! We have gotten to see a ton of old faces, who bring new faces. Word of mouth is one of the most powerful ways to help out a band that you really dig. It truly warms my heart when I see people that have seen us before and they have new people with them. It makes me wish we didn’t rely on our merch! I just wish I could give it all away, but sadly that is how we eat, and pay for gas. Purchasing merch is definitely second on the list of powerful ways to help out a band you dig HAH! Really though, we are super excited to be a part of this tour. To every kid that has bought a shirt or cd, or even brought a friend to meet us….thank you! Stay metal-core
