She Cries Wolf – FIRST CONCERT EVER

In this First Concert Ever segment, Luke Harriss, from the metalcore band, She Cries Wolf, talks about the story of his first experience with live music. You can check out the story, after the break.

My first ever concert experience was at a festival in Brisbane in 2006 called Overcranked. 40 bands played; including I Killed The Prom Queen, Against, Wish For Wings, Behind Crimson Eyes, and A Secret Death.

Up until then, I had only seen videos of people moshing/hardcore dancing on MySpace. I had been listening to I Killed The Prom Queen (downloading their music off Limewire) and hadn’t heard many of the other bands.

At the festival, I was handed a flyer for an Against show within the coming weeks with Mourning Tide. Their vocalist Tyrone had assisted on some IKTPQ songs at Overcranked because it was Ed Butchers first show with the band. Anyhow, I went to that show at The Lions Den a couple of weeks later and it sparked my passion for Metalcore and the local scene.
