Sinclair – PRESHOW RITUALS

What does Sinclair do before a show?!

Well, Olivia takes like forever ( literally) to get ready so I guess she just tends to focus her energy somewhere else. We all do the cliche stuff like new strings, warm-ups, get in tune etc. Jordan just chain-smokes and forgets about the nerves, Jonny sorts out his spaceship (His pedal board, its basically a control room) and Raf is so chilled he keeps everyone grounded. As a band, we tend to find a grimy dive bar nearby and sit and have a beverage beforehand ( Only one though don’t worry!).

We all find that doing other things before the gig helps with nerves. That fully helps for Olivia, focusing too much on performing etc just builds unnecessary anxiety. Olivia tends to do Vocal warm-ups whilst doing her makeup ( Unusual combination? Maybe).

It’s not until the sound check that the angsty personas come out to play and we all get in the mood for the gig ahead. When we get on stage there’s a quick little ‘Alright lads, let’s do this’ and off we go.
