Day 11 was a day off. We had our first hotel of the tour, so most of the day was spent with showers and laundry. Once all that was done, we drove to Albuquerque, NM. While stopped for food we realized we were only a couple blocks from the Breaking Bad house, so we decided to stop by. When we got there an older lady was outside with the garage open. After my experience of getting ran off from the Amityville house, I got nervous and just jumped out long enough to take this pic!
Day 12 was in Santa Fe at The Skylight. This club was incredible! Great sound and lights and the whole ceiling was windowed! The crowd was bad ass and threw down the whole time! We didn’t get to stay long that night because we had a long drive to Austin for our next show.
Day 13 was in Austin at The Dirty Dog. It seems like everything was against us on this day. It was a long drive and with a couple missed turns and another blow out made us show up minutes before our set time. As soon as we got there, all the bands helped us throw our gear on stage and we were playing 15 minutes after showing up. It was a cool show, then we got to hang with some friends and party with the old guitarist and tech.
Day 14 was at the Gas Monkey in Dallas. This venue is amazing! I’ve played there once before with my old band, but this show was the coldest outside show I’ve ever played. It was an outside venue and we were lucky enough to show up when it was 30 degrees out. The crowd was full of old friends and die hard fans willing to jam in the cold with us.
Day 15 was in Tulsa at The Downtown Lounge. My house is between Dallas and Tulsa so we were able to stop off and enjoy home for a few hours. The club is a small bad ass rock club! It was packed full of friends and fans. It was also my friend Eric’s bday so we called him on stage to sing Take As Needed. We partied laaaaaate!
Day 16 was in Norman at the Labyrinth. This was a hometown show for me and actually the first time I played this venue. A bunch of family and friends showed up to show what my Oklahomies are made of! It was a great time and of course we partied hard! We ended up just staying in the clubs lot and hanging all night.
Day 17 was in Wichita at the Lizard Lounge. I like this place! I’ve been playing here for years with many different bands. It’s a small dive bar but always a good time. This time was no exception! This was one of the best shows of the tour! People packed in early and raged with all the bands all night. So much fun!
