Smith & Thell – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the folk pop duo, Smith & Thell, let you know who they would like on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

Our dream tour would be around America, specifically the South and then off to the West Coast, ending with a show at Red Rock National Park. There’s a lot of places we haven’t seen. We would love to stop by Muscle Shoals on tour and record in one of the old studios for a few days. It’s a place with amazing music history.

A dream tour would be to mix big and small venues for a few months, where we really get to see the countryside. The small club environments help to get our lyrics through, just taking it down all acoustic with a standing bass and two acoustic guitars and an old piano. The bigger venues bring out a feeling of togetherness that we create with the audience.

Would be cool to tour with Mumford & Sons. We really enjoy their music and we wouldn’t mind a good jam in the tour bus with them.

We would have a Volkswagen T2 bus packed with musical instruments to jam and record on the road. We would sample stuff along the road and build beats from the sounds of the landscapes and cities we visit. Instruments that we would bring would be harmonicas, a twelve string guitar and a harp! Always wanted to learn to play the harp. It might have to have its own bus, but since we can dream free, we’ll bring one.
