Snavs – CRAZY TOUR STORIES

In this Crazy Tour Stories segment, the EDM artist, Snavs, talks about some of his crazy moments from touring. You can check out the feature, after the break.

So, I was touring in Poland a few years ago and I had a show in Poznan. This was my last show before going home for a much-needed vacation and celebrate my 23rd birthday (I was turning 23 the next day).

It was in the beginning of my career so the budget and schedule was super tight.

After finishing the show at 3am I rushed to our very old car (again – budget was tight!) to go to the airport where I had to catch my flight at 8am. I fell asleep in the car trying to catch some sleep so I would be ready to celebrate my birthday the next day.

Suddenly I woke up in the middle of nowhere with the engine was on fire! The driver tried to call his father for help (tight budget) but he lived two hours away so I wouldn’t make the flight. So instead we tried to hitchhike to the airport and a nice truck driver gave us a lift to the nearest city.

From there we took a cab and this drive was also super hectic. The promoter kept screaming at the driver that he should go faster so we could make our flight. The driver really wanted to stop to take a piss but the promoter just kept screaming at him. We arrived at the airport 20 minutes after boarding time, still trying to make it, running through everything: check in, security. But – luckily – we made it. You can see how happy I was to have avoided a bad end to the tour in this photo!
