The Spring Fling tour made its way to the American Legion in Lake In the Hills, Illinois. On this tour came Joy Island, Rocky Loves Emily, and The After Party. You can check out our review after the break.

Unfortunately, Freshman 15 had to drop off the rest of this tour due to van troubles. A statement released via the band’s Facebook page stated “Hey guys unfortunately we will not be at any of the remaining Spring Fling Party Tour shows. Every other show on our tour dates page is still happening! Sorry about this everyone!”

The second band, but first tour band to take the stage was The After Party. They are a four-piece band who sounds like a boy band dance party, which is right up my alley. They even cover an *Nsync song, “I Want You Back”. Sadly, I think most of the crowd was too young to know *Nsync. Their songs are very catchy and really make you want to get up and dance. Their album will be on constant reply in my car.

Up next was Rocky Loves Emily. Unfortunately I missed some of their set, but what I was able to see was fantastic. They were less dance party than The After Party, but that didn’t stop the crowd from continuing moving around. This was my second time seeing Rocky Loves Emily and both times, the crowd couldn’t get enough.

The last band to play was Joy Island. Their sound is a mixture of pop and electronica. All the members were very energetic and it was contagious. I don’t think a single person wasn’t dancing during their set. It was one of the best times I’ve had watching a band in a long time. I really hope they come back here soon. Everyone joined them on stage for the last song, which was a nice end to the tour for everyone involved.
