Oh helloooo, we’re Stars and Rabbit. We just had a tour in UK couple of weeks ago. The tour is basically very D.I.Y. We’re the only responsible party for what’s happening during the event. And it was surreal! glad we did it. So, here are some tips that might add your tour prep list.
Tip #1 Your Own Size of Comfortable Shoes.
Bring the very best. You wouldn’t know how much your activities that involve walking. And make sure it’s yours (at least your size). I had to buy boots coz my feet were no longer fit (got swollen from sooo much walking in the cold) on the sneakers (very comfortable but sliiiightly smaller) I borrowed from my friend back home.
Tip #2 A. Just-Fit. Van
We wanted to walk down this cool area called The Lanes near Brighton Pier when we got to Brighton in the first place. After some rounds, our van, apparently, couldn’t fit most of the parking boxes. Either too long or too high. We gave up and went straight to the venue.
Tip #3 Diapers for Adult
Not kidding. There is such a thing, right?! It might sound a bit “whaaaa?!!”. But for such a weak bladder like I do (also in order to keep myself hydrated – I drink more than usual), it’s actually starting to make sense. I’ve never tried it, but I might. Not every place you visit has an easy access to the loo.
Tip #4 Learn to Sleep Everywhere
In the car, bus, train or airplane. Anytime you can. Whenever your body tells you. Prepare things that can give you more comfort on doing it (to me is pillow neck).
Tip #5 Portable Digital Weighing
If you happened to travel specifically by plane, this handy little tool will help you to have a better preparation (mentally) for your extra luggage. The earlier you know how much you’ll be charged for the overweight, the better. No more jaw-dropping at the counter.
Tip #6 Notice Little Things
It can be overwhelming to receive so many new things in new places. Sometimes it doesn’t even feel real for quite awhile and that blocks me from enjoying the experience itself. So, I always start with noticing little differences. By walking if it’s possible. Notice from the smallest things that caught your eyes…maybe start from houses, the trees, the flowers, smell the air and so on. Once you get the idea, the trip feels more alive.
